Mark Sixma – Requiem (ASOT Rip) – BUY
Mark Sixma, also known as M6 is a 29 year-old Dutch producer raised in the hometown of of Breda, which also happens to be where Tiesto is from. After DJ-ing for high school parties and local clubs like “De Spock”, Mark’s desire to get into music production began. With the help and assistance from a good friend Paul Moelands (re:Locate) he began to tune in on his trance sound. Once graduating from the University of Tilburg, Mark found his first set of track signed to the label Basic Beat and his future in the trance music scene began. After a track collaboration with Def Tactical and a Project 6 E.P at Five AM Records, Mark released a new track called “Destination 6” which was signed to Armada and featured as “Tune of the Week”. Since that time M6 has found continued support from just about every biggest DJ in the world – the list is literally too long.
“Requiem” is the latest from M6 and it’s been dropped all throughout ASOT600 shows world-wide. The track a simply brilliant and one of the reasons we like it so much, is because the song goes somewhere. It’s not just repeating phrases over and over… it has a course and that’s what Mark has done here. He’s given us a slow build-up with synagogue-like voices that transforms into this beautiful exposure of layers that sounds so good. Then, just as you think you’ve hit the peak – Mark takes you back down the roller coaster ride of “Requiem” all over again. We’re excited to see this officially release – so until then… check out this rip.
