The kids have been slacking and haven’t put up a post in quite some time. But back on December 22nd we got to check out a show at one of DC’s coolest venue: Echostage. The line-up kicked off with the Ajuna prodigy Audien, based out of Connecticut. Audien or Nate Rathbun played a set full of emotion: ups and downs, and I might venture to say maybe my favorite show of the night. The kid just knows what he’s doing and he’s going to be huge. Following Audien, Porter Robinson took to the knobs – and dropped “Easy” which was game over – one of the best songs I’ve ever heard live. Cosmic Gate followed Porter and closed the evening out with a trance-infused set that kept the crew going until about four in the morning.
The first track from Audien we want tot feature is “Eventide”, which was released during the summer of 2012. Possibly one of my favorite songs from 2012, it still gives me a shiver every listen through. Most recently, Audien featured a new song called “Wayfarer” which I think displays Audien’s growth over the past few months and is so big it’s already been featured on #ABGT.
