Labor day weekend is a perfect holiday, especially if you happen to schedule a three-day long electronic music festival around it. Electric Zoo in New York City is arguably one of the world’s most vibrant festivals… for so many reasons. We’re all aware of what happened during the two days and the unfortunate events that ensued. But real talk, this post isn’t about drugs, EDM culture or anything everyone else is writing about – it’s about how awesome Friday and Saturday were. We’ve been to four years of the festival now, both the music and scene have evolved BIG TIME, but what we did get to see was great. Mat Zo‘s set was unbelievable, FEHRPLAY sounded great, Tritonal amazing, Kyau & Albert sexy, Above & Beyond went, well… above and beyond expectations – granted we missed out on Myon & Shane 54, Markus Schultz, W&W, Swanky Tunes and obviously Armin Van Buuren. The climatic and sudden end of the festival almost felt like you were a kid waiting and waiting for Santa to come and then finding out he had heart attack from eating too many cookies. Either way, we really do hope that Electric Zoo 2014 happens, mostly because at its roots – this is all about enjoying yourself, meeting rad people, and enjoying life. Alright, enough said, check out these pictures below from the first two days
