Cosmic Gate Announce Details of New Album: Start To Feel
The German trance duo Cosmic Gate are back at it again! Claus Nic Chagall and Stefan Bossem are about to launch a their latest album ‘Start to Feel’ towards the end of June. “What we would like to get through ‘Start to Feel’ is that electronic music doesn’t need to always start and stop at the drop,” says Nic Chagall – one half of the trance duo. “It doesn’t have to be all about those sixty seconds. We love that type of music, if we didn’t, we wouldn’t have made tracks like ‘So Get Up’ and a dozen others. But those are start points to Cosmic Gate’s music, not end ones.”
“Our overall aim is the long game,” added Stefan ‘Bossi’ Bossems. “In the studio we want to create tracks with real life expectancy. We want to make ‘years-from-now music’, where every time you come back to a track you hear something new, something different, something more than you caught the first time. We want to encourage people to experience electronic music in a deeper, wider, more complete way.”
But of course, no Cosmic Gate album would be complete without a set of big room anthems, of which, tracks such as ‘So Get Up’ and ‘Crushed’ have already shown what to expect. Featuring collaborations throughout from Emma Hewitt, Orjan Nilson, Jerome Isma-Ae and many others, as well as vocals from Mike Schmid, Cary Brothers and two appearances from Eric Lumiere, ‘Start to Feel’ is a complete album set to burst into the electronic download charts this summer.
Mixmag call the album, “Stylistically fearless, panoramic, astonishing and by virtue-of, reaches that hallowed height of perfection.” Start to feel the album for yourself on June 27.
