Here’s something fun, progressive and catchy – a remix from Blend of PROFF and Kaspar Kochker’s “One More Request”. Released last month onto Intricate Records, we’ve had the melody spinning in our mind for a couple weeks now. We’ve covered plenty of PROFF in the past and we’re huge fans, but we’re really digging this mix from Blend and expecting to see a lot from the 18 year-old producer. Here’s a little about what we know about Blend according to his Soundcloud page. Blend also known as Voland and Tom Js, was reared in “butt city.” He began experimenting with music around the age of six and got his first set of decks at fourteen and alleges that at seventeen he was touted as butt city’s answer to Camp and Krooked. Ready for the kicker? In 2014 (yes 2014) he “achieved his big break when he blagged his way backstage at a Netsky Live gig and tripped over the cord to Boris’ keytar right when he was in the middle of playing ‘Give & Take’.” We’re not totally sure where “butt city” is, but two things are clear: Blend has a great sense of humor and he’s a talented producer. We’re looking forward to hearing more from this guy.
