Hyperbits – “Karekare”

We love writing about local New York City talent, especially if they’re talented and signed to Armada. Hyperbits, more commonly known as Serik Slobodskoy and Robert Palliser, met while in middle school on Long Island and have been ever buddies since. The two remained in contact during college and pursued regular-joe jobs until one day Serik found himself confined to the walls of a cubicle thinking  “I wasn’t mentally stimulated or challenged or passionate at all about what I was doing. So I left my job and decided to pursue music.” So a little over a year ago, the two formed Hyperbits – allegedly a pseudonym that refers to the duo’s talent.

“Karekare” is the latest from these two guys and their sound let alone is spectacular. We only have this 3 minute taste of the track just released today, but we know for sure it’s just enough to know these guys are good. Combining elements of progressive-house and modern trance, the emotionally entrancing track features a clever build up to a clean progressive drop that just melts you into your seat. Not only have these guys created a track that sounds good, but it’s evident these guys have talent and we’re stoked they’re right here – in NYC.
