San Francisco based group Gabriel & Dresden released “Play It Back” over the summer in 2012. Most recently, Maor Levi put on a spin on the tune that really gives it a pop-trance sound. Born Israeli, Maor Levi since the age of eleven has always found himself inspired by the likes of Tiesto‘s “Magik” and “In Search of Sunrise“. In 2007 his first major track “Lital” was released on the Anjunadeep record label putting young Levi on the map. He was soon labeled as Above & Beyond‘s artist of the year and began working on his first album entitled “Gone Into Orbit”. Before the album could be released to the world, Maor was drafted into the Israeli Defense Force and served his mandatory two year service. Maor was discharged from service in 2009 and has still yet to release “Gone Into Orbit”.
The first track we’ve put up to check out is his first track “Lital” from 2007, which one could arguably say placed him on the trance map. The song has a very trance classic feel about it, but doesn’t give you the feeling you’re listening to the same loop over and over again – it progresses. The other tracks below are from the Anjunabeats Worldwide 04 album which was actually by Maor Levi and Nitrous Oxide. Oh, and Maor Levi is out favorite person we’re following on twitter – you should follow him too.
